Ammar H. Elsheikh earned his PhD from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China. He is currently an Associate Professor at Tanta University and a Visiting Professor at Osaka University. Previously, he was a JSPS Fellow at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. With over 200 published articles, he also serves as the editor of Artificial Neural Networks for Renewable Energy Systems and Real-World Applications, published by Elsevier Inc., USA. Recognized as one of the top 2% of influential scholars globally, he ranks among the 100,000 leading scientists worldwide. His research focuses on manufacturing processes, material science, and the integration of artificial intelligence in engineering systems.

Speaker II: Assoc. Prof., Abu Zahrim Yaser, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia

 

 

Abu Zahrim Yaser is an Associate Professor in the Chemical Engineering Programme at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), where he also serves as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. He is the founder of the Kundasang Compost Living Lab and obtained his PhD from Swansea University, UK. Dr. Zahrim’s research primarily focuses on waste processing technology, and he has been leading multiple projects since 2006. To date, he has published 17 books and over 130 publications. His creative publication, Kompos, featured in the Festival of Ideas (Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia), has garnered more than 3,000 views, and he holds five copyrights related to composting systems. He has delivered keynote speeches and invited talks on waste management and academic publishing while also chairing several international and national conferences. As an active reviewer for several high-impact journals, Dr. Zahrim has reviewed over 260 articles (Publons). His innovations in waste management have been adopted by various communities in Sabah, Malaysia, including Nabawan and Kundasang. He has also served as a visiting scientist at the University of Hull (UK) and is a Professional Engineer (Ir.) registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. Dr. Zahrim is a recipient of the National Book Award (2023). His Scopus citations stand at 1,582, with an h-index of 20.

Speaker III: Assoc. Prof., Heah Cheng Yong, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia

 

 

Dr. Heah Cheng Yong is an Associate Professor at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and Deputy Director of the Centre for Industrial and Governmental Collaboration (CIGC). A world’s top 2% scientist (Stanford University, USA), he is a globally recognized expert in geopolymers and materials engineering.

He has extensive editorial experience, numerous journal publications, and is frequently referred to by researchers worldwide for his expertise in geopolymers. Dr. Heah also leads the Green Materials Research Group, focusing on sustainable and advanced materials.

Beyond research, he is actively involved in industry collaborations, grant evaluations, and postgraduate supervision. A sought-after speaker and journal reviewer, Dr. Heah continues to contribute significantly to the field of materials science.
